MY APPROACH TO THERAPY
Real conversations.
Meaningful change.
It is often difficult to explain exactly what therapy is. I like to think of it as looking at what has scraped you up emotionally, cleaning out that wound, and then healing so you can live a healthier and happier life.
You may know what's wrong. You may even understand why you do the things you do. But understanding a pattern and changing it are two different things. Real change starts when we connect the dots between where you've been, how you've learned to navigate the world, and what's happening in your life today.
My style is direct, honest, compassionate, and real. I believe therapy is a team effort. You know your life; I know therapy. I'll listen, ask questions, challenge your thinking when needed, and help you sit with the uncomfortable parts rather than avoid them.
My approach draws from attachment-based, emotion-focused, person-centered, and interpersonal therapies. Together, we'll explore how your childhood experiences and relationships may have shaped your beliefs, behaviors, and ways of relating to others. We'll look for recurring themes, make sense of the patterns that continue to show up today, and understand not just why they developed, but how to change them. The goal isn't simply to understand your past; it's to use that understanding to create a different future.
“I'll call you on your crap” — with compassion, honesty, and a goal of helping you move forward.
HOW I CAN HELP
Support for the parts of life that feel hard to navigate.
Whether you’re working through your own challenges or looking for support as a parent, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
You may feel stuck in patterns you understand but can't seem to change. Maybe anxiety, past experiences, relationship struggles, or self-doubt keep getting in the way of the life you want. I work especially well with thoughtful, curious people who want to understand themselves, make sense of their experiences, and do the work of creating meaningful change.
Adult Therapy
